Wedding Questions

 

At what time during the day can we book our event?  

It is based on availability as we can only book one major event at a time in our facility. Our event planner can review your function schedule with you.

 

Who can hold an event at Worcester Country Club?

All events must be sponsored by a current member in good standing.  That sponsorship assumes overall payment responsibility.

 

What is your final guaranteed attendees policy?  

The guaranteed final count is (72) hours before the event. 

 

How much is the deposit?  

The deposit to reserve a room will be determined by our event planner

 

Is the deposit refundable?   

In the event your need to cancel your function, your deposit less a $100.00 administration fee will be returned to you.

 

Do you offer discounts?  

No

 

What is your decoration policy?

Decorations provided by the client must be approved by our function coordinator.  Floral arrangements, centerpieces, music and entertainment should be discussed with our WCC function coordinator in full detail, in order for WCC to make necessary table and space arrangements.  Due to fire code regulations, all candle flames must be enclosed at all times.

 

Can I order two entrée selection? 

Yes.  Final guarantee count for each entree must be ordered in advance of the event.  We do not encourage a third
entree selection as it may slow service down tremendously.

 

Are there any additional costs besides the menu items selections? 

All banquet prices (food, beverage) are subject to twenty 20% Service Charge and 7% Massachusetts Meal Tax.  A copy
 of your tax exempt certificate must be provided to WCC in order to obtain tax exempt status.

 

Who will run the event?  

WCC management staff will attend to your every need.  In addition, the Club’s General Manager will be on site to make sure your event runs as smoothly as planned.

 

Is there ample parking?  

There is ample parking for both function business and golfing business.

 

What color table linens and napkins do you offer?  

Events include white tablecloths and white napkins.  A wide array of floor length linens and chair covers are available for
an additional charge.  

   

I have exclusive use of Worcester?  

No, we have Member dining and golf on a daily basis.

 

Can I bring in my own caterer?

No, it is all prepared in our kitchen.

 

Do you cater to guests with allergies? 

Any known allergies among your guests should be brought to the attention of your coordinator.  Some menu items are prepared with peanut, almonds, walnuts and other oil extracts as well as shellfish.  We would happy to recommend an alternative entree for guests with allergies.

 

Can we smoke in the club?
Clubhouse rooms / patio and tent are NON-SMOKING. The smoking area is at our side

What is the club's drinking policy?
All beverages must be purchased from Worcester Country Club, and patrons of these functions will not be permitted to bring in their own supplies in accordance   with State Law and Worcester CC’s alcohol awareness policy. No alcohol
may be purchased or served to anyone under the age of twenty-one (21).

 

Do you have on-site ceremonies?

No.

 

Do you host rehearsal dinners?  

Informal rehearsal dinners for up to 30 guests can be hosted in our Grille Room.  Larger rehearsal dinners can be accomodated.

 

Can I bring my own cake?

Yes.

 

Is there a cake-cutting fee?  

We will cut it for you at no additional fee.

 

Do you offer children's meals?    

Children's meals are available.  Your have a choice of chicken fingers with French Fries, pasta or a hot dog with French Fries. The meals are $8.95 per child and include dessert.

 

Do you offer band / vendor meals? Price?  

Typically the band is served the same meal that is provided to your guests at a reduced price between $12 to $20 per person.  The band / vendor meals must be included in your final guest count.

 

Do you do more than one wedding at a time?  

No, just one at a time.
